Toronto really only has two seasons.
One is the bone-shatteringly cold winter, during which no one exits their overpriced condos and the city grinds to a miserable halt. The other is skin-melting summer, during which everyone leaves their overpriced condos and EVERYTHING HAPPENS ALL AT ONCE. The city is abuzz with patios and festivals and birthdays and social commitments. It’s easy to love Toronto in the summer. If you’re a freelancer, work is aplenty. If you’re a binge drinker, every corner of the city is encouraging you to work up a buzz. If you’re in love, the spaces for ritual mating dances have increased tenfold.
I’m maybe one or two of these, but hopefully not all three. But I’ve been busy, and have been neglecting this blog the last few months. I’ve still been writing during this time, just on other exciting projects that I hope to share with you soon. I’ve also (thankfully) continued to live a human life, and have been making mental notes on possible blog entries that I’ll share in the coming weeks, schedule permitting.
So… hang tight. More is coming. At the very least, I have to make renting this domain worth my while, right?
