I got the chance to hop Canadian coasts in 2025 and be in the writers’ room on the fantastic CBC police procedural Saint-Pierre.
Created by the legendary Allan Hawco and Robina Lord-Stafford, Saint-Pierre is about exiled Newfoundland Inspector “Fitz” Fitzpatrick, who “is partnered with headstrong Deputy Chief Archambault (Arch) to solve unique crimes that bely the French island’s idyllic façade.”
The show was a blast to work on and a lovely tone-shift from some of the heavier topics of the Surrey-based Allegiance. (That being said, my episode still deals with a controversial, Roman Polanski-like artist. I bring the heavy to the light — what can I say?)
The second season premieres on January 5th on CBC and CBC Gem! Check it out. And my episode is the fourth — “Death at a Funeral,” airing on January 26th.
