I hope this message finds you, my dear reader, healthy and safe.
The worldwide COVID-19 crisis has reshaped the world around us quickly and thrust us into uncharted territory. Please practice social distancing to help limit the spread of the virus, and follow the advice of health care professionals and your local authorities. Reach out to friends and family in a safe manner, and if you do know someone who is elderly or immuno-compromised, do what you can to help them while maintaining a safe distance. The only way we make it through this is together!
And now… for something different. I had another opportunity to contribute to This Magazine, this time for the March/April 2020 issue. The piece (“Self-care is a Sham”) was written last fall, but the subject of self-care and how individualism is destructive to communities is arguably even more relevant during this health crisis.
You can read the full piece (and support a fantastic publication) by purchasing a digital copy here for $5. An online version should also be available in the coming weeks.
[UPDATE 04.08.20: The online version is now available here.]
Take care, everyone. Be kind.
