New show alert! I’ve been working on something…
“Home Sweet Rome follows Lucy, a 13-year-old who moves from California to Rome to start a new life with her dad and stepmom Francesca… who also just happens to be an Italian pop star!
With new friends, amazing food, haute fashion, and a best friend who is thousands of miles away, Lucy discovers the real meaning of “When in Rome” as her adventures abroad get underway.”

Working on Home Sweet Rome with showrunners Matt Huether and Courtney Jane Walker was a real thrill, as was time spent in the room with an incredible team (Cole Bastedo, Fatuma Adar, Sara Peters, Kristy LaPointe, Madeleine Patton, Mara Perbelli, and Raf Antonio).
I wrote two episodes, and although I love both, one is particularly close to my heart, as it deals with a little boy who loves drag queens. I feel especially privileged to be able to tell such a queer, personal story at a time when conservative policies have been targeting drag queens — both here, and in Italy.

But enough with the heavy stuff. The series is hilarious, the cast is incredible (seriously, Kensington Tallman and Ava Ro are stars), and my fingers are firmly crossed for more seasons and more adventures.
Check it out, April 7th on Family Channel in Canada, and with more international premiere dates coming soon!
Ciao!
