Feeling tremendously grateful to be a part of the second season of CBC/HBO Max’s hit series Sort Of. It is very rare to write on a show where multiple aspects of your identity are folded into the lived experiences of the characters, so to have the opportunity to bring some of that into incredible universe created by Bilal Baig and Fab Filippo was a real honour.

The second season is currently filming in Toronto, but the first season has been receiving rave reviews, including from Vanity Fair, The Guardian, NPR, The Hollywood Reporter, and nominations from GLAAD, Banff’s Rockie Awards, and the Canadian Screen Awards.

But today the series won a PEABODY AWARD! Incredible. A huge congrats to the entire team for bringing to life something that is so human and lovely and that is resonating with so many.
