Woke up to some super cool news this morning — I’ve been nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Writing on a Comedy Series for my episode of CBC’s Sort Of!

Now I get to be one of the jerks who says things like “It’s an honour just to be nominated.” But it is!

Big love to bilal Baig & Fab Filippo, the team at CBC, Sphere (Jennifer Kawaja, Caroline Habib, Laura Perlmutter), the writers’ room (Jenn Engels, Ian Iqbal Rashid, Léa Geronimo Rondot, Kyah Green, onyeka Oduh, Vivek Shraya) and the incredible cast and crew.

This show is changing hearts and minds. What a gift!

And congrats to the other nominees (including but not limited to current/former employers, friends, and drinking buds — SkyMed! Coroner! Diggstown! So many awesome creatives on the list).

Anyway, now that I’ve spent enough time celebrating myself, I’ll just say this — in the spirit of Sort Of‘s humanism.

Trans rights are human rights, protect trans kids, and pronouns are important.
